Each applicant for a position in the South Tama County Community Schools will complete the attached form. If the applicant is elected and accepts a position in the South Tama County Community Schools, the information becomes a part of the employee’s professional record. Be certain that all information is accurate, complete, and legible. The space provided for answering some items is purposely limited, and we suggest you word the answers carefully for these items.

HIRING PROCEDURE: Your interest in applying to the South Tama County Community Schools is sincerely appreciated. If you have questions about our school or our community, we will make every effort to answer them for you. Typically we have more candidates for a position than can be interviewed. We usually screen all applicants and select a number for an interview.

Once the position has been filled, we will notify ALL candidates, even those who have not been interviewed.

BACKGROUND CHECK: As a result of your application, the South Tama County Community School District may request criminal and other records background checks to verify that a candidate has no known record which impacts on license suspension or revocation or other background that would make them unsuited for the particular position in a work environment that includes the presence of children.

CERTIFICATION: The applicant is responsible for obtaining and renewing certification or licensure. A copy of the Certificate must be registered with the district office when a candidate accepts a position with the district. SALARY SCHEDULE: Certified staff members are placed on the current salary schedule in accordance with their training, experience, and/or by mutual agreement at the time of employment.
