SPECIAL BOARD SESSION

OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE

COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT OF SOUTH TAMA COUNTY

 

The Board of Directors of the Community School District of South Tama County met on October 29, 2007 in Special Session at the Administration Building, Tama, Iowa at 6:30 p.m.

 

On call of the roll the following were present:    Andy Bagnall

                                                                        Jackie Dvorak in at 6:47 p.m.

                                                                        Ron Hala

                                                                        Don Wacha-absent (working)

Michelle Yuska

 

Quorum present:

 

Also present were: Greg Darling, Kim Gardner, 4 concerned citizens,

and Joyce Wiese from the local newspaper.

 

Moved by Yuska, second by Bagnall, to approve the agenda as presented. All ayes.

 

At 6:40 p.m., an interview took place with Dean Meier of the AEA consultant firm. He discussed their steps of hiring a new superintendent and the timeframe in which this would happen. Questions followed.

 

At 7:10, two representatives from G. Tyron & Associates were interviewed. They discussed working with board members individually, and working with focus groups to decide on a new superintendent. Questions followed.

 

Moved by Bagnall, second by Yuska, to adjourn at 7:40 p.m. All ayes.
